Eric LaVALETTE

E r i c  L a V A L E T T E  was born in Algiers in a musicians family coming from Malta and the Balearic Islands.
When he arrived in Paris / France, he started to playing piano but very quickly he choosed the "six strings" listening to Blues music through the British groups of the 60's / 70's.

When he was 14, he played the guitar and the bass in several bands and recording studios in Toulouse / France and became a sound engineer. 

Other bands : FIRE PIGS at the end of the Seventies, FLAG in the 80's / 90's, Granduca which played with other artists like Lucky Peterson, Nine Below Zero or Mike Stern in the late 90's.

In 2004 the Eric LaVALETTE Band was created and in August, the group opened the Ségoufielle Rock & Blues Festival preceding Joan Shaw Taylor and played its electric Blues. Later on, the band played also with Jean-Jacques Milteau, John Mayall, David Evans, Bruce Roberts, Tinariwen, N'guyen Lê, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Big Ed Sullivan and The Pretty Things.
